How To Create Forms Under 5 Minute?
I was talking about WPForms challenge in the starting of this post and now the time has come where I am going to explain to you what is this.
WPForms launched their 1.5 version with the WPForms challenge and Dashboard, as I talked about before.
WPForms team created WPForms challenge to make easier for beginners to create their first form.
It is basically a challenge which will help you to create your first form under 5 minutes, and time will be counted by a timer watch on your screen.
You can see the same prompt as seen above on your screen when you install WPForms plugin in your WordPress website.
It is a 5-step challenge and I am going to discuss every single step…
Step 1: Name Your Form
In the first step, You only need to give your form a name so it will be easy for you to identify where this forms you are using. This is the very basic and initial step if you are going to create a contact form then enter contact page form.
Once you complete clicking on the Done to proceed to step 2… Hurry up! because the timer already is started. Tik Tok, Tik Tok…
Step 2: Select A Template
This is a very important step, in this, you need to select a template for your form. there are 4 pre-built templates in free and 7 in the Paid version of WPForms…
- Blank Form
- Simple Contact Form
- Request A Quote Form
- Donation Form
- Billing/Order Form
- Newsletter Form
- Suggestion Form
You will see something like below image at the end of the page if you are using WPForms lite.
It does not end here, you can use more template by using Form Template Pack Add-on.
Step 3: Add Fields To Your Form
Step 3 is another important step, in this, you can add or remove fields in your form. And you can also arrange fields order of your form.
Apart from these basic settings, you can do advanced setting as well to make your field better.
In the advanced settings, you can do the following things…
- Change field size
- Add placeholder and default value
- Hide labels & sub-labels
- Custom CSS
Step 4: Check Notification Settings
This step is for setting up notification setting of your form, Whenever someone filled out the form you will get a notification on given email address.
Step 5: Embed In A Page
Finally, you came to the last step where you are going to make your form live on your WordPress website.
In this step, you are going to embed your form which you just created for your website, In the above image, you are seeing Gutenberg editor, I am going to tell how about both the editors.
In Gutenberg Editor, Just go to click on + Icon on the left corner of the editor(As shown in below image) and then Widgets>WPForms.
After clicking on the WPForms, one pop-up will immediately appear on your screen and asking you to select a form you created to place on the page.
In Classic Editor, If you did not upgrade your WordPress and still using old classic editor then here is how you can embed WPForms on a page.

Click on the Add Form on above your editor…
After clicking Add Forms, one prompt will appear immediately and asking you to choose a form to embed on the page.

You can also use Shortcode to embed WPForm into your page. Just go to WPForms>All Forms and select the form you want to embed and copy Shortcode you can see on the right side.
Paste the code in the page you want to embed the code in and Publish that page. That’s it, your form is live now…
