Today Everyone knows the power of the WordPress, Everyone knows that WordPress has the most popular and most famous platform to start your new blog.
But they confused to choose from WordPress.com and WordPress.org, they think they both are same but I want to tell you that they both are totally different.

What Is WordPress?
WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL. WordPress is installed on a web server, which either is part of an Internet hosting service or is a network host itself Host_(network); the first case may be on a service like WordPress.com, for example, and the second case is a computer running the software package WordPress.org. by Wikipedia

WordPress.com Vs WordPress.org
WordPress.com and WordPress.org both are part of WordPress but they both are different from each other.
It totally depends on which type website you want to make from WordPress. If you only want to create a blog for fun or for just sharing your knowledge over the internet, then you can choose WordPress.com as your platform.
But if you want to create a website for your company or you want to be a professional blogger and want to make money online from your blog then you should choose WordPress.org.

Pricing
WordPress.com is a free platform to start blogging. This is totally Hosted by WordPress.com and you don’t have full control on your website. If you want to improve your control or feature then you have to upgrade your plan.
On the other hand, WordPress.org is free to download, but you need to purchase web hosting and domain to start your website/blog on WordPress.org. You have full control on your Website.
Theme & Design
In WordPress.com you have limited ability to edit and customize your theme. You have some design themes for your WordPress.com site, If you want to install third party’s theme then you must have to purchase Business plan.
But on another side, You can have unlimited ability to edit and customize your theme. you have full control on themes, there is Unlimited free and premium themes which you can install to your WordPress.org website/blog.
Plugins
In WordPress.com, You can not install and use Plugins, there are minimal plugins which you can use in free plans. Third-party plugins are available if you upgrade to Business plan.
On the Other hand, You have the freedom to use unlimited plugins. there are no limits on the plugins, This is the big difference which makes them different from each other.

Branding
In the WordPress.com, WordPress has their own branding on your site, you have to pay to remove the branding.
For WordPress.org, You have full control on the branding also, You can add AdSense ads on your site wherever you to want to show.
Security
In WordPress.com, You have not advanced control over the settings. WordPress will automatically manage settings and backups for you.
But WordPress.org, You can enhance your settings with the help of plugins. You can install plugins for backup also to manage backups by your hand. You can also schedule your backups.
Support
In WordPress.com, You can not get live support and email chat, you have to pay for it.
But for the WordPress.org, You can get community support and you Hosting provider always there to help you with the live chat and live.
