SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the sets of activities or action which a blogger/site owner do to increase their blog/website rank high on the search engine like Google, Bing and Yahoo. In Simple words, You can say that SEO is the bundle of process/steps we do to make our content and site visible on search engine.

SEO is a very useful factor, That’s why I always say that SEO is the heart of the website. It gives power to your website.
SEO usually divided into Three parts.Which is:
- On-Page SEO
- Off-Page SEO)
Today we will discuss on On-Page SEO and other two will be covered in the upcoming posts. In this post, I am going to tell you some On-page SEO techniques which you can use to get high rank on search engines.
What Is On-Page SEO?
Now we all know, SEO is the bundle of techniques which we use to increase our site rank on search engine. So, On-page SEO is the techniques which we use to optimize our Content/Posts. It helps to make our content or blog posts visible to the users and help search engine spiders/crawlers to index it easily.
On-Page SEO Techniques
In On-Page SEO, we optimize our content/posts/pages for the search engine to make it visible to the users.
Tips: I recommend you to download Yoast SEO WordPress Plugin. It will make easy to optimize your content.
Blog Post Title
You can say your title is the name of your Blog post. It should be under 65 Character.
Always make your title more clickable like your title should be attractive. it should always attract more users to click on it and read the post. Your rank will automatically increase when your posts got more click.
Make sure that your Targeted keyword is placed in the title. Title formatted in the H1 tag by default. You should never use H1 tag as your subheading because one H1 is good in one post.
A Blog post with images is more users friendly than a post without the image. but the major problem bloggers faced with the images, It is big in size so it makes our page lazy to load which is not good for SEO.
If you are facing the same so I am recommending you to use Smush Image Compression and Optimization This will compress your image automatically.
Make a habit to attach images to your post. It will help your readers to understand your post more clearly. At least 4 Images in a Posts is good.
Heading tags are the HTML tags which is inbuilt into the WordPress posts editor. You just need to select text which you want to make heading and change from paragraph to Heading.
There are 6 heading which is H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, and H6. Every heading has different font size.
Basically, The HTML codes for the Heading are:
<h1>First Heading Text</h1>
<h2>Second Heading Text</h2>
<h3>Third Heading Text</h3>
<h4>Fourth Heading Text</h4>
<h5>Fifth Heading Text</h5>
<h6>Sixth Heading Text</h6>
Headings make blog post more users friendly, It make easy to understand your post.
Keep in mind, Always use H2-H6 for the subheadings, never use H1 for the subtitle because your title is already in H1 and H1 tag is enough.
Permalinks are the address of your webpage/blog posts. First, you need to change your permalink structure from the Settings>Permalinks.
This is plain by default you need to change it to another. I recommend you to change it to post name because it looks simple and easy for users to remember.
The main benefit of the Post name permalinks is, It will take your targeted keyword in the URL automatically if you have used it in your post title. and this will make your content more SEO friendly.
Interlinking is the art of linking your post to your another post. This trick always engages users to the blog and also increase page views. It helps to increase rank in search engine.
By interlinking, you can increase page views on your old posts by using your new posts. You can say that you can promote your old posts in your new blog posts.
Now you know the Interlinking but External Linking is different from Interlinking. External Linking is the linking your site to the other sites or web pages.
But always take care of the No-follow and Do-follow links. I mean, Whenever you can’t trust on the website which you are linking with so make sure of using No-follow attribute.
The Keyword Density is the percentage of a keyword or phrase appear in your whole posts. Keyword density can be used to determine whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.
If you use Yoast SEO plugin then it will help to know how much % of keyword density your blog post has? Always use your targeted keyword in the First paragraph of your posts.
Lenght Of Posts
Many beginners confused about the length of the posts. They always asked that how much words a blog post should have?
The answer is very simple to this question. A blog post should have at least 400 words. A blog post with 400 words looks pretty good. But always make sure to write at least 600 words.
Having good length posts always good for user and search engine as well. It makes your blog post informative too.
