Who doesn’t want to get high rank in SERP? Everyone Does…
Everyone is trying hard to get the first page on the search engine, but it is not that much easy as it looks like.
They do many tricks for this like targeting long keywords, making your website load faster, and writing quality content.
Do you have any idea about Keyword Stuffing? Maybe you have or maybe not?
If you know the meaning of Stuffing then you can understand what is Keyword Stuffing?
Keywords play a very important role in SEO, it is one of the main factors which decide the rank of a webpage in Search engine result page.
Placing keywords in your blog post is good but doing over is bad.
What Is Keyword Stuffing?
The term “keyword stuffing” has been around since the early days of SEO. It is black hat SEO techniques to play with Search engines to get high rank in search engine result page.
According To Wikipedia…
[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]Keyword stuffing is a search engine optimization (SEO) technique, considered webspam or spamdexing, in which a web page is loaded with keywords in the meta tags or in the content of a web page in an attempt to gain an unfair rank advantage in search engines. Keyword stuffing may lead to a website being banned or penalized on major search engines either temporarily or permanently. The repetition of words in meta tags may explain why many search engines no longer use these tags.[/perfectpullquote]
Keyword Stuffing is the tactic of adding too many keywords on a webpage in order to get high rank in Search Engine, it is a black hat SEO technique which people use. This technique was good some year ago because that time Google Bots were not too smart but it is no more effective because Google bots are too smart nowadays.
Many people think that the more they place keywords in their post the higher chances to get high rank in SERP. that’s not true as I have mentioned above that Google Bots are smarter than before.
Keywords Stuffing is used to cheat search engine for getting high rank in the search engines. A webpage with Keyword Stuffing looks like…
[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]Do you know What is Backlink? and How to get Backlink? In this guide, I am going to share with your How you can create backlinks for your blog post. Backlinks help to get high rank in the SERP, Backlinks also help to increase traffic. Here is the list of the techniques to create backlinks.[/perfectpullquote]
Many people try to cheat with the Google by creating Hidden Text, I mean white text with the white background which users can not see but search engine does.
And many use CSS to do the same, I have an example Alexchiu.com, they had stuffed at least 50kb of text in few pixels of a text area. As you can see in the images below.
Watch this video where Matt Cutts and Nelson from Google Webmasters have discussed the Hidden text and/or keyword stuffing.
Specific Examples From Google
Google has provided these as examples of keyword stuffing
- Lists of phone numbers without substantial added value
- Blocks of text listing cities and states a webpage is trying to rank for
- Repeating the same words or phrases so often that it sounds unnatural, for example, We sell custom cigar humidors. Our custom cigar humidors are handmade. If you’re thinking of buying a custom cigar humidor, please contact our custom cigar humidor specialists at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Google is smarter than you think, If you are doing this to get high rank in the search engine then one day Google will penalize you and demoted your website
Keyword Stuffing is the dangerous game which is no safer. Google dislikes black hat tactics like SEO keyword stuffing because those methods focus on beating the search engine algorithm rather than a great user experience.
If you are using this tactic to get high rank in the search engine then you are throwing your users out of your website, and this is not good for User experience. Good user experience is equally important as High rank is.
How To Avoid Keyword Stuffing?
Keyword stuffing is not good by SEO point of view at all, you should stop this if you are doing so otherwise one day you will be penalized by the google and you will lose all your ranking which you got by using Blackhat SEO.
Here are some tips for you to avoid Keyword Stuffing…
Take Care of Keyword Density
Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page.
In the context of search engine optimization, keyword density can be used to determine whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.
Here I suggest you use Yoast SEO Plugin because it will highlight your Keyword Density score and give your post an SEO score.
Check out this video where Matt Cutts busts the density of SEO keywords myth:
There is no ideal % for good Keyword Density, It totally depends on how long your blog post is.
Write Quality & Long Blog Post
The long blog posts usually safe from the Keyword Stuffing because of the length.
Always choose the topic which you are interested in, so you can easily write a long blog post. Keyword Stuffing mostly happens in the short posts.
Many people get confused about the words that a blog post should have? are you one of them?
I want to say that there is not any fixed number for that a good post usually contain 800 to 1000 words.
Do you know? Long Blog Post has high chances to get the high rank. Why?
Because long post contains full information that helps your readers to know about the topic, and this is also telling Google: Hey I have explained this topic well so please give me high rank.
And Google also takes care of serving quality results on their result page then your chances are also high if you write the long blog post.
Use Synonyms Words
Using a single word too many times in a post looks spammy and it is also giving bad users experience to your users and Google can also punish you anytime. In all the ways it is not good for SEO at all.
You can use Synonyms words in the place of your main keywords, like for this post I am targeting “Keyword Stuffing” so rather using the main keyword many times I can use Irrelevant Keywords, Words Stuffing, and Phares Stuffing.
If shared some example of one keyword too many times, this also can be like…

Here is the list of the techniques to create them.[/perfectpullquote]
You can see, There were 6 same keywords before but now there is only too which is very good you can also do the same to avoid Keyword Stuffing.
Use LSI Keywords
LSI stands for Latent Semantic Indexing, LSI keywords are the words or phrases which is somehow related to your main keywords.
This is the another a good way to avoid stuffing of Keywords, there are many tools which you can use to find LSI Keywords for your blog post.
I have already shared a post on LSI Keywords and the tools which you can use to find them read that post The True Meaning Of LSI Keywords [Beginners Guide}

It happens with the beginners mostly, they try to get high rank fast in the search engine so for this they start using black hat SEO and Keyword Stuffing is the one them.
I hope like this post and found it helpful if you did then don’t forget to share it with your friends to help them and save them from the Google Punishment.
So if I missed something then drop that in the comments section, I will be happy to add that in the post.
